You may either drop off or ship your media device(s) to our data recovery laboratory in Los Angeles.

If you decide to drop off, all we need is your storage device along with the service number PLT-{id}. Drop off hours are 10am-5:30pm.

In case of  shipping your media device, please follow these steps on how to ship it safely:

  1. If your device is a hard drive or SSD remove it from your desktop/laptop.
  2. Package only the storage device(s) without any cables, caddy or AC adapters.
  3. For RAID: All RAID hard drives must be packaged. RAID controller card is not required.
  4. Securely wrap the hard drive(s) or other media device(s) in an anti-static bag(if available)
  5. Select a sturdy box that is slightly larger than the shipped item(s).
  6. Wrap each item individually in bubble wrap.
  7. Place your item(s) in the center of the box, and surround it on all sides with the foam, peanuts or additional bubble wrap.
  8. Label the box as  “FRAGILE”.
  9. Include your service ID number with your shipment (VERY IMPORTANT).
  10. Ship your package with delivery confirmation via UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL and etc.
